Koffee with Kars

Koffee with Kars is ready for another season. We will open the season at 8AM on May 3rd. with free coffee and donuts with lunch to follow with our famous meatball sub. We will also have a trophy presentation on that day with several hand made beautiful trophies awarded. We will be at Swigarts every Saturday from May 3 to October 27 from 8 AM till 11 AM. Bob Perks’ Fund Cancer Survivor Celebration
Everyone is invited to celebrate the birthdays of their Cancer Survivors and also to remember those Loved Ones who have passed.
The event starts at 2:00 pm with fun, games, music. Jade Photography will be there to take pictures of your little Superheros or Princesses. So make sure you dress those kiddos up and bring them out for pictures!
A free turkey dinner with all the fixings will be served to Survivors and a guest at 4:00 pm. Survivors are asked to register for the meal on Facebook page – Bob Perks – Huntingdon County group. This is to insure that there will be enough food for everyone.
The Survivor ceremony will begin at ending with a beautiful luminary service after dark.

Paddle for Pets Kayak Poker Run

The board members of the Huntingdon County Humane Society are currently planning a Paddle for Pets Kayak Poker Run event Saturday, Aug. 18, to be set up at the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Co. This will be a fundraiser for the humane society, which currently serves both Huntingdon and Mifflin counties. Join us for an afternoon of fun and cash prizes on the beautiful Juniata River above the Warriors Ridge Dam. Participants will pay $20 for registration, which will entitle them to an event T-shirt, the chance to draw five poker chips for cash prizes around a set course on the water, a door prize ticket and a picnic meal. Registrations can be made at the Huntingdon County Humane Society Facebook page or at the shelter. Please call 644-5196 for more information.
