THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE AT HUNTINGDON ARE INVESTIGATING A ROBBERY WHICH HAPPENED AT ABOUT 1:30 SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE VALLEY GENERAL STORE IN PETERSBURG. A STORE EMPLOYEE WAS EXITING THE BATHROOM AND HEADED TOWARD THE COUNTER WHEN HE SAW MAN BEHIND THE COUNTER PUSHING BUTTONS ON THE CASH REGISTER. THE STORE EMPLOYEE EXITED THRU A SIDE DOOR AND CALLED 9-1-1. THE MAN WAS DESCRIBED AS BEING AROUND 20 YEARS OLD, WEARING A RED HOODIE AND BLUE SWEATPANTS WITH A WHITE STRIPE DOWN THE LEGS, CAMO GLOVES AND BANDANNA. HE FLED THE STORE WITH ALL THE CASH FROM THE REGISTER. A PERSON MOWING THEIR LAWN ALSO SAW THE MAN FLEEING. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ASKED TO CONTACT PSP HUNTINGDON AT 627-3161.

AUTHORITIES IN BEDFORD COUNTY ARE INVESTIGATING A SATURDAY HOMICIDE. THE MARYLAND MAN DIED ON THE OPERATING ABLE FROM A GUNSHOT WOUND. NO ARRESTS HAVE BEEN MADE AND THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.

A FIRE SUNDAY MORNING IN CHESTER HILL, CLEARFIELD COUNTY HAS BEEN LISTED AS AN ARSON. NO ONE WAS AT HOME WHEN THE FIRE WAS REPORTED AROUND 4:30 SUNDAY MORNING.
