PENNSYLVANIA’S STATE SENATE LAST EVENING GAVE APPROVAL TO A 32-BILLION STATE BUDGET WHICH GOVERNOR WOLF CALLED A BI-PARTISAN SPENDING PACKAGE. THERE IS NEW SPENDING AT VARIOUS LEVEL OF EDUCATION. THE BILL MOVES TO THE GOVERNOR’S DESK FOR CONSIDERATION. THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR ENDS AT MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

HUNTINGDON COUNTY PATIENTS WITH PRESCRIPTIONS FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA WILL BE TRAVELING OUT OF THE COUNTY WHEN DISTRIBUTION BEGINS NEXT YEAR. A DISPENSARY WAS APPROVED FOR STATE COLLEGE, ALTOONA AND DuBOIS, BUT NONE IN HUNTINGDON COUNTY AS THE STATE LISTED THE FIRST 52 LOCATIONS WHERE THE DRUG WILL BE AVAILABLE STARTING NEXT YEAR.

A HUNTINGDON COUNTY WOMAN, MANDI RICE A FORMER SALES ASSOCIATE WITH THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH THE MISAPPROPRIATION OF 19-HUNDRED DOLLARS OF POSTAL FUNDS BETWEEN MAY AND OCTOBER OF 2016. SHE PLEADED GUILTY AND COULD BE FACING UP TO 10-YEARS IN PRISON.
