Authorities are searching for the driver of a hit-and-run crash earlier this month in Lewistown.  Borough Police say the driver of a large truck struck a vehicle and the porch steps of a home on Bratton Avenue in the early morning hours of March 11th.  The driver of the truck fled the scene.  The vehicle is believed to have heavy front-end damage, and could be a mid-1990s to early 2000s Dodge Ram or Dakota.  Pieces of the headlight were recovered at the scene.  Anyone with information should contact Officer Garrity of the Lewistown Police Department at 717-248-6716.

Roadway improvement work will start Monday (March 25th) on Route 322 near Burnham.  PennDOT says a major component of the project is the construction of a new westbound on-off ramp at the Burnham – Yeagertown interchange. The new ramps will increase sight distance and provide longer deceleration/acceleration lanes.  Other work will include paving on Route 322, roadway and structure improvements on West Freedom Avenue (Route 4013), and roadway improvements on Ferguson Valley Road (Route 1007).  Starting Tuesday (March 26th), traffic through the work zone will be controlled through single lane closures.
