The operator of a motorcycle sustained minor injuries after losing control of his bike earlier this week in Huntingdon County.  According to State Police, 65-year-old Zane Treece of Saxton lost control of his Harley-Davidson Monday afternoon on Route 994 in Todd Township.  The cycle left the roadway and came to rest on its left side.  Treece was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash.  He was treated at JC Blair Hospital.

An area man was jailed when authorities investigated a weekend noise complaint in the Borough of Lewistown.  Officers from the Lewistown Police Department responded to an unrelated incident Sunday evening in the vicinity of 137 West Fourth Street.  During the investigation, they identified 21-year-old Devian Jimenez-Rounds, who was wanted for absconding from Mifflin County Probation.   Jimenez-Rounds was taken into custody and placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

PennDOT will implement a detour of Route 26 (Penn Street) westbound on Saturday (September 8th) as part of the Route 22 and 4th Street Improvements Project.  Workers will re-open the eastbound lane and will close the westbound lane to perform roadway reconstruction work and drainage upgrades.  Westbound traffic will be detoured onto Route 22 (William Penn Highway) to Route 3035 (Fairgrounds Road) and to Route 26 (Penn Street).  All work on the project is expected to be complete by December.
